Spring is my favorite time of year. Especially here in Washington, after a dark and cold winter, the world comes back to life before your eyes. The birds are singing and the spring flowers reemerge from the ground. Tulips are among my favorites and every year in spring in the Skagit valley is the annual tulip festival. Acres of fields display a dizzying array of colorful tulips as far as your eyes can see. Endless varieties of tulips, some with multiple colors, some with ruffled petals, some extra full with petals are a sight to behold. With this “Skagit” skirt, I tired to capture the magic of the Skagit valley tulips for you to enjoy wherever you may find yourselves. This beautiful skirt is comprised of two separate, overlapping “petals”attached to a pull-on waist band for quick and easy styling.
